Dr. Karen Murphy
Veterinarian
Dr. Karen Murphy joined the River Road Veterinary Hospital veterinary medical team in 2017. She is a seasoned veterinarian with over 20 years of working with dogs, cats, and farm animals. Karen enjoys life on her homestead, spending time in her garden and orchard and with her bees. Her pets include Samson, a Mini American Shepherd, two crazy cats, a flock of chickens, and a goose. When she’s not working, Karen likes to hike, snowshoe, and garden. She also bakes bread and other goodies for a local ‘farm to table’ cafe and farm stand.

Dr. Caroline Neville
Veterinarian
Dr. Neville became part of the River Road Veterinary Hospital veterinary medical team in 2019. After completing two years as the medical director and veterinarian of Avian Haven, Dr. Neville wanted to spread her wings and work in general small animal practice. We have been thrilled to add her extensive knowledge of birds and reptiles to our exotics service.

Cailee
Practice Manager
Cailee joined the RRVH team as the Practice Manager in the Summer of 2021. With over 7 years of veterinary experience and over 9 years of military experience, we welcomed her with open arms! She loves spending time with her husband Charlie and dog Stella. She also loves cooking, exercising, and being outside. She’s most excited to bring positivity, kindness, and the highest quality of care to your beloved pets.

Emily
Receptionist
I have been a receptionist at RRVH since 2009. In addition, I also work at the Old Town Animal Orphanage. I graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. I currently have 3 Shar Peis, a plethora of cats and ferrets, and a veritable zoo of exotic pets. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and reading.

Kerrie
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kerrie joined the RRVH Veterinary Technician team in the spring of 2015. She lives with two dogs named Snickers (in her profile photo) and Moxie, three cats, two ducks, and a sneaky wild rat that lives with the ducks! In her free time, Kerrie loves traveling and hanging out with her family.

Samantha
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Sam is a 2017 graduate of the UMA-Bangor Veterinary Technology program. She did her pre-graduation externship here, and we liked her so much, we kept her!

Licensed Veterinary Technician
Stacey was hired on after she finished her externship here in June 2018.

Shannah
Receptionist
Shannah joined the RRVH team as a Receptionist in the Winter of 2020. When she isn’t helping our wonderful clients, she works at the Old Town Animal Orphanage and has since 2009! She is very passionate about working with stray and abandoned animals. At home, Shannah has six cats, one dog, one rabbit, two Guinea pigs, multiple fish tanks, three rats, and two bearded dragons. When she’s not focusing on the animals, she loves to cook!
